Happy Holidays from our Home to yours…

As we reflect back on the year we realize that there have been a number of events that have made up 2007 for our family.

January started us off with Joshua and Don crafting a wooden car with plastic wheels for the Boy Scouts Pinewood Derby.

In February, Mary’s niece gave birth to a healthy baby boy to share the same birthday as Mary.
This was also the month that we traveled to Moreno Valley for a quick visit with Uncle Buck, then an overnight stay in Imperial with Grandpa Davis.
The next couple of days were spent in San Diego… one day we took off to Legoland, and the other day we met up with another family for a day at the San Diego Zoo.

March saw the completion of the Great Wall of Don and Joshua was awarded Student of the Month, and got his “Grill” (braces).

April was Joshua’s first Boy Scout overnight campout, and Mary returned to a full-time work schedule.

August… we got out of town for a weekend trip to Monterey, there was the family gathering around Joshua’s Birthday with a visit from Grandpa Davis, and Joshua started the 5th grade at a new Elementary school.
And sadly, we lost a beloved member of the family Max, who lost his battle with cancer… He is missed in body, but lives on in our hearts and memories.

Grandpa Perez got his hip overhauled in September.

In October Joshua had a school assignment to study the life of an historic person, and he presented his report in character in front of his classmates. He choose Abraham Lincoln. Joshua work hard, did a great job, and had a lot of fun… Mom and Dad had fun helping too.
As we continue to do little (and some big) home improvements, the year wouldn’t be complete without us doing something else around here, and this year is no exception. We topped off the family room with not only the recessed lighting in June, but with a beautiful new slider door.
Don seems to have a need for speed and was invited to Thunderhill Park Raceway for a day at and on the track where he got to go on an adrenaline high speed ride, but passed on an opportunity to take the driver’s seat (next time… definitely next time).

     November – too much food.

Christmas will again find us here at home.

May you and your family have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
