Happy Holidays from our Home to yours… 2010... Seems like we were a lot busier than what we have to show for it. January – Joshua and the boy's dressed up for the school Winter Dance and Don started taking a computer programing class at the local junior college. February – We took Mary to the coast for her 50th Birthday, stroll through the town of Sausalito, and had a nice dinner on the Bay. March – Found us taking in the blooming flowers of Daffodil Hill. April – Went to check out one of our favorite summer spots hoping to see Sardine Lake before all the snow was gone… found out that there was still a lot of snow and that the road was closed. May – Joshua's 7th grade field trip took him to Wonder Valley for a week. They had all kinds of activities that included horseback riding, archery, building a tee-pee, throwing sticks, and making fire. When we got home, the garage door spring had broke, and our house had only half power… the power company attached a Frankenstein looking contraption onto our house as a temporary fix until they could fix the power to our house (which they did a few days later). June - The third boy's only fishing trip to the Sierra Buttes joined once again by Uncle Larry... we fished, went on a hike, checked out an old gold mine, and fired off a few rounds at some targets. July – Our first garden yielded our first tomato, and Joshua attended a theatre camp. Joshua was one of the many star performers in the grand finale play presented to all the proud parents. August – Family trip to Half Moon Bay, Santa Cruz, and Muir Woods. We stayed in Half Moon Bay where we just relaxed. In Santa Cruz we checked another Lighthouse off our list and Sargent got bit by something that had us paying a visit to the local veterinarian clinic. We finished off the week at Muir Woods where we ate at Muir Woods Trading Company Cafe featured on Food Network's The Best Thing I Ever Ate. Then it was Joshua's 13th birthday. Joshua is now officially a TEENAGER!!! September – The Air Show… lots of planes, lots of people, lots of heat, took lots of pictures… Don and Joshua enjoyed attending a few races throughout the year and to showing our support to our friends of MSR. December – Joshua was assigned a school science project to choose an element - he picked argon - write a report, make a model of the atom, and present it to his whole class. He received extra credit by turning in his project early, and he thought this was all pretty cool. Christmas will again find us here at home. May you and your family have a Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. |
